As I am moving into my second trimester, we are getting more and more excited about our third child’s arrival in June. Summer seems a long time away right now for us in Minnesota, with zero degree temperatures and 20-below windchill, but our new little person will be ex-utero six short months from now.

I am particularly interested in meeting our next baby because it will help me get a better idea of the trends in our family. Our first two children are such complete opposites, I’ve designated Number Three as the Tie-breaker.

Of course, I know that this child will be his or her own individual with unique qualities unlike anyone else. But, there are bound to be some similarities between this one and the elder two.

So many questions are in my mind. Will #3 be of large Germanic build, like Boo Boo — Mr. Weissinger? (Taking after my paternal grandmother’s family.) Or, will #3 be built like another petite Italian like Mr. Serge (Dear Husband’s maternal grandfather’s family), as we like to call X-Man.

Huge or tiny? Blue eyes or brown? Brown hair or blond? Extroverted or introverted? Independent or attached? Loud or quiet?

Only the Lord knows for now. We’ll just have to wait two more trimesters! =)
